Titans coach Saleh says Ward in good headspace after 0-5 start

Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh stated that second-year quarterback Cam Ward is in a good headspace and has confidence in the offensive line, despite the team's 0-5 start to the season. The comments came during a Wednesday press conference, where Saleh addressed how Ward handles pressure and sacks. Saleh described a recent conversation with Ward as really cool, using the meeting as a point of optimism for the franchise.

The Tennessee Titans currently hold the lowest-scoring offense in the NFL and have not defeated a team in their own AFC South division since November 2024. The team recently suffered a 26-3 home loss to the Houston Texans, a squad that was winless at the time, during which Ward was sacked four times. Ward's record as a starting quarterback stands at 3-19, with a specific 0-7 mark against AFC South opponents.

The franchise is facing a difficult stretch after parting ways with former head coach Mike Vrabel in January 2024. Since that firing, the Titans have compiled a 6-33 record while cycling through their second general manager and second head coach. Saleh began his tenure in Tennessee at 0-5, extending his overall NFL head coaching record to 20-41 following his multi-season stint with the New York Jets. The team travels to Indianapolis on Sunday to face the Colts, presenting another divisional challenge for Ward.
