The Fitbit Edge, Google's second Fitbit tracker of 2026, slots between the Pixel Watch 5 and the Fitbit Air. The new device offers a compact screen and more health sensors than the Air, while costing about half as much as the Pixel Watch 5.
The hardware design represents a shift toward a more refined aesthetic, described as a compressed version of the Pixel Watch form factor. The Edge features a pill-shaped 1.34-inch OLED touch display housed in a slender aluminum frame. Google states that this configuration provides 46 percent more viewable area than the Charge 6. The device is rated IP68 and 5 ATM for water and dust protection. In terms of physical dimensions, it is very close in overall size to the Fitbit Air and utilizes the same magnetic charging puck.
Functionality is managed through the Google Health app, supporting both Android and iPhone users. Google reports that the tracker can operate for about seven days on a single charge when paired with a phone. If the device is separated from the phone, it supports seven days of full health data storage or 30 days of basic data storage. However, this week-long battery life does not apply if the always-on display mode is enabled. Activating that feature reduces battery life to approximately two days, a duration barely longer than that of the Pixel Watch 5.
