Celcuity Inc. (Nasdaq: CELC) has appointed David W. Gryska to its Board of Directors, a move announced on October 2, 2026, as the biotechnology company transitions into a commercial-stage enterprise. The appointment coincides with the recent FDA approval of the company's first product, REVTORPYK (gedatolisib), for the treatment of advanced breast cancer.

Brian Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Celcuity, stated that Gryska's addition to the board is timely given the company's shift toward commercialization. Sullivan noted that Gryska brings over 35 years of strategic and financial leadership experience in the life sciences industry, including specific expertise in advising early-stage biotechnology companies. The CEO described Gryska's background as a Chief Financial Officer and board member in pharmaceutical firms during periods of significant clinical development and commercial growth as an outstanding addition to the board. Sullivan expressed confidence that Gryska will provide valuable expertise as Celcuity executes the launch of REVTORPYK, advances its clinical development programs, and builds capabilities for long-term growth.

Prior to his retirement, Gryska served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Incyte Corporation, and previously held the title of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Celgene Corporation. He also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Scios, Inc., as well as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at the same firm. Earlier in his career, Gryska was a partner at Ernst & Young LLP in California. He holds a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Loyola University and an MBA from Golden Gate University.

Gryska has served on the boards of eight public biotechnology companies over the past 25 years. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Definium Therapeutics and previously served on the boards of Seagen Inc. for more than 15 years, Forte Biosciences, Aerie Pharmaceuticals, and GW Pharmaceuticals. In a statement, Gryska described Celcuity as entering an exciting new chapter, noting the company is poised for significant growth following the FDA approval and commercial launch of REVTORPYK in advanced breast cancer. He said he looks forward to supporting Sullivan and the leadership team as they build on this momentum, advance gedatolisib in additional solid tumor indications, and work to bring benefits to more patients.

Celcuity is focused on developing targeted therapies for multiple solid tumor indications. REVTORPYK is a potent pan-PI3K and mTORC1/2 inhibitor that blockades the PAM pathway. Its mechanism of action is differentiated from other approved or investigational therapies that target PI3Kα, AKT, or mTORC1 alone or in combination. The FDA approval was based on data from the Phase 3 VIKTORIA-1 clinical trial, which evaluated gedatolisib in combination with fulvestrant, with or without palbociclib, for patients with HR+/HER2- advanced breast cancer (ABC) without a PIK3CA mutation who had progressed on or after at least one line of endocrine therapy in the metastatic setting.

The company is currently conducting the Phase 3 VIKTORIA-2 trial, which incorporates two independent studies in treatment-naive patients with ABC. Study 1 evaluates gedatolisib with palbociclib and fulvestrant for endocrine-resistant HR+/HER2- ABC, while Study 2 evaluates the combination with palbociclib and letrozole for endocrine-sensitive HR+/HER2- ABC. Additionally, a Phase 1b/2 trial, CELC-G-201, is ongoing to evaluate gedatolisib in combination with darolutamide in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer.
